Conrad is a 1968 graduate of Tylertown High School, attended Southwest Mississippi Community College and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. Conrad received his law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1974 and practiced law in Macon, Mississippi for six years before moving back home in 1980. He and his wife, Cindy King Mord, are the parents of six children, Russell (Starkville, MS), Emily (Fulton, MS), Carlie (Bethesda, MD, U.S. Army), Kurt (Tylertown, MS), Clay (Eglin A.F.B., FL) and Lindi (Monticello, MS).

Kurt is a 2007 graduate of Tylertown High School. He attended Southwest Mississippi Community College and graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 2011. He earned his law degree from Mississippi College, School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 2014. Kurt maintained a private general law practice for five years in New Albany, Mississippi before moving back home and joining the firm in May, 2019.
